Mechanical Maintenance Technician – Field-Based Birmingham | Covering the West Midlands | £26,000 – £30,000 + Guaranteed Bonus (£6,000 – £8,500) Benefits: BMW 330e company car, full tool kit provided, comprehensive training package The Opportunity We're recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Technician for a field-based role covering the West Midlands. This position has become available due to internal promotion, and offers a genuine route into service engineering for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who's ready to develop their skills. Full training will be provided on CNC machinery - no prior machine tool experience required. What you'll be doing: Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and fault-finding on CNC equipment at customer sites Delivering excellent customer service while diagnosing and resolving technical issues Managing your own schedule across the region, travelling to client locations independently Maintaining tools, equipment, and company vehicle to professional standards What you need: Solid mechanical maintenance experience (workshop, production maintenance, or similar) Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability Quick learner who can pick up new technical skills rapidly Self-sufficient and proactive approach to work Full UK driving licence Comfortable with regular travel and working independently CNC machine tool experience is beneficial but not essential - we're looking for someone with the right mechanical foundation and attitude who can be trained on the technical specifics.
