Salary: £29,000 – £31,000 + 25% Shift Allowance
We are currently recruiting for a skilled CNC Miller (Setter/Operator) to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong machining experience looking to work within a modern and well-equipped environment.
The Role
As a CNC Miller, you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-quality components in line with engineering drawings and specifications. This is a hands-on role focused on machining rather than programming.
Key Responsibilities
* Setting and operating CNC milling machines
* Working from engineering drawings to manufacture precision components
* Ensuring parts are produced to required quality standards
* Making adjustments to tooling and offsets as required
* Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Shift Pattern
* Monday – Thursday:
* 6:00am – 2:00pm
* 2:00pm – 11:00pm
* Friday:
* 2:00pm – 6:00pm
(25% shift allowance applies)
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience as a CNC Miller (Setter/Operator)
* Experience working with control systems such as Winmax, Siemens, or Heidenhain
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Experience machining aluminium components
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

* This role does not require programming from scratch – focus is on setting and operating
* Tolerances will vary depending on the component and candidate experience
