CNC Miller Setter Operator Location: Coventry Hours: Double days Salary: £16.69 an hour Key Responsibilities of a CNC Miller Setter Operator * Set up and operate milling machines and associated equipment safely and efficiently. * Produce components in accordance with technical drawings, route cards, and work instructions. * Carry out tool changes, offset adjustments, and machine parameter settings as required. * Conduct quality checks using appropriate measuring and gauging equipment and ensure all documentation is accurately completed. * Maintain and improve 5S standards on the shop floor. * Participate in routine maintenance and Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) activities. * Identify and highlight opportunities for process and efficiency improvements. * Ensure compliance with all departmental and company quality standards. * Work safely and report any health and safety risks. * Train and support other operators as required. * Liaise with other departments to support production schedules. * Perform any additional ad-hoc duties as necessary. Key Skills of a CNC Miller Setter Operator * Previous experience in a manufacturing environment. * Strong understanding of technical drawings and specifications. * CNC or manual milling machine experience. * Strong attention to detail and quality assurance. * Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines. * Teamworking and mentoring capability. * Knowledge of TPM and 5S principles. * Good organisational and time management skills
