Apply NowA reputable and long‑established machining company in Redditch is seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join their team. This permanent role offers competitive pay and overtime opportunities.
The successful candidate for the role of CNC Operator will be responsible for operating horizontal CNC milling machines, ideally with experience on Matsuura machining centres. You will ensure components are produced to specification, carry out basic offsets/adjustments and maintain high standards of quality throughout production.
Duties and responsibilities of CNC Operator:
* Prepare and operate horizontal CNC milling machines to carry out daily production tasks
* Work on Matsuura machining centres (experience preferred) to produce precision components
* Read and interpret engineering drawings to understand specifications and required outcomes
* Prepare and load raw materials onto the machines
* Prepare test run to check if machines produce outputs according to specifications
* Set machine to complete full cycles to produce specified part
* Supervise machines and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result
* Inspect and measure finished products to check process completed properly
* Check and maintain machine regularly to ensure functionality
* Adhere to safe working practices
Skills and attributes required by successful candidate for the role of CNC Operator:
* Previous experience as CNC Operator within a manufacturing environment (essential)
* Operating experience with CNC Milling machines
* Proficiency with measuring equipment
* Willing to learn and progress
* High attention to detail
* Work well within a team and individually
Location: Redditch, Worcestershire
Hours of Work: Days Monday to Thursday (6am – 2pm or 8am – 4pm) Friday 12:30pm finish
Pay: Up to £16 per hour, dependent upon experience
