The Role
We are currently seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with experience using Siemens 828D or 840D controls to join a well-established precision engineering business on a permanent, day shift basis.
This is a hands-on position working within a high-quality manufacturing environment, responsible for setting and operating CNC milling machinery to produce precision components in line with engineering drawings and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Full machine setup including tooling and workholding
First-off inspection of machined components
Editing and proving out programmes at the machine
Working independently from engineering drawings
Maintaining housekeeping and job booking standards
Working in line with ISO9001 quality procedures
Minimum Requirements
3–5 years CNC Milling experience
Experience with Siemens conversational and ISO programming
Experience machining steels, cast iron and stainless steel
Ability to use standard inspection equipment
Experience working from engineering drawings
Desirable Experience
4 or 5-axis milling experience
Experience machining complex castings
Experience creating or modifying CAM programmes (Fusion 360)
Experience creating setup sheets and organising tooling
