CNC Turner The Role Contek Recruitment Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner on behalf of our client, a highly respected engineering organisation operating within technically demanding and innovative industries. This is an excellent opportunity to join a modern, well-equipped precision workshop producing complex, high-tolerance components for specialist equipment and high-end scientific applications. The work is varied and interesting, focusing on quality and accuracy rather than high-volume production. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting and operating a range of CNC lathes, including machines equipped with live tooling. You will play a key role in delivering precision components that support cutting-edge engineering projects. Their fully equipped workshop includes the latest Mazak CNC machinery, along with comprehensive in-house capabilities such as Milling, Turning and Wire EDM. They operate to exacting standards, manufacturing precision components that support complex engineering programmes across a range of specialist sectors. The environment is professional, quality-driven and focused on continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities * Programming, setting and operating Mazak CNC lathes * Working with Mazatrol controls (essential) * Producing precision components to tight tolerances * Machining a wide range of metals and plastics * Operating machines with live tooling (desirable) * Ensuring high standards of quality and accuracy * Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workspace Skills & Experience * Proven experience as a CNC Turner * Strong Mazatrol programming experience (essential) * Experience with live tooling (desirable) * Background in high-tolerance precision engineering * Ability to machine a variety of materials confidently * Excellent attention to detail * Efficient and accurate working style * Pride in producing high-quality work Working Hours 37½ hours per week Shift Option 1: * 13:30 – 22:15 Monday to Thursday * 13:30 – 18:00 Friday Shift Option 2: * 06:00 – 14:00 Monday to Friday If you are an experienced CNC Turner looking to join a progressive engineering environment where precision and quality are paramount, Contek Recruitment Solutions would be pleased to hear from you
