A well-established and reputable engineering manufacturer is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to join their team. This is a hands-on role focused on the production of precision components used within specialist equipment manufacturing. Key Responsibilities * Set, operate and machine components on CNC Doosan 3-axis lathes * Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings * Use a range of measuring equipment to ensure components meet required tolerances * Carry out self-inspection and maintain high-quality standards * Work collaboratively within a shop floor environment * Adhere to all health & safety procedures and company standards * Contribute to continuous improvement and productivity enhancements Requirements * Proven experience operating CNC lathes (minimum 4 years preferred) * Experience with Doosan machines would be advantageous * Ability to read and understand technical drawings * Competent with inspection and measurement tools * Strong attention to detail and quality-focused approach * Team player with a positive and proactive attitude Engineering apprenticeship or City & Guilds qualifications are advantageous but not essential for experienced candidates. Working Hours * Monday: 7:30am – 4:00pm * Tuesday: 7:30am – 4:30pm * Wednesday & Thursday: 7:30am – 5:00pm * Friday: 7:30am – 12:00pm (39 hours per week with scheduled breaks) Additional Information * Overtime regularly available, paid at 1.5x standard rate (weekdays and Saturday mornings) * Competitive salary, dependent on experience
