CNC Turner – Programmer / Setter Salary: £35,000 – £41,000 per year DOE Job Type: Full time, Permanent Shift: Day Shift (Hours below) Start Date: Immediate start available SourceCo Recruitment are hiring for a well established precision engineering manufacturer, who are currently looking to expand its engineering team and is seeking an experienced CNC Turner / Programmer to join the business on a permanent day shift. This company specialises in the production of high quality, low volume components for a range of demanding industries including Aerospace, Motorsport, Oil & Gas, and Defence. The business has built a strong reputation for quality, investment in technology, and long term staff retention. Key Responsibilities * Programming CNC lathes directly at the machine * Setting and operating 2 axis CNC turning machines * Producing one off and short run precision components * Working from detailed engineering drawings * Carrying out in process inspection using measuring equipment * Maintaining high standards of quality and precision * Working on components ranging from Ø25mm x 100mm up to Ø300mm x 3m in length (hoist lifting equipment and training provided) Experience & Skills Required * Proven, time-served experience programming CNC lathes * Ability to write CNC programs longhand at the machine with minimal supervision * Experience with Fanuc controls on cnc lathes * Familiarity with Fanuc Manual Guide i and G-Code * Strong understanding of the turning process and precision machining * Experience producing one-off or small batch components * Ability to interpret engineering drawings accurately * Hands-on, quality-focused and self-motivated approach Salary & Benefits * £35,000 – £41,000 per year depending on skill level and experience * Overtime available paid at time and a half * 28 days holiday including bank holidays * Additional Christmas shutdown holiday * Pension scheme * Health care scheme * Excellent working conditions within a stable and established engineering environment Working Hours * Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm * Friday: 8:00am – 2:30pm
