Commercial Operations Manager Based: Sherburn in Elmet Salary & Benefits: Highly Competitive DOE Company Privately owned for 45 years, and now one of the UK’s leading& multi award winning Engineering companies, WEC Group is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Commercial Operations Manager to join our busy and expanding team at Sherburn Metalwork, part of the WEC Group based in Sherburn in Elmet. The Role: This is a rare opportunity for a commercially minded leader to run a business as your own. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you’ll lead a 40+ strong team, overseeing all operations, manage budgets, and drive profitable growth. You’ll shape company culture, implement process improvements, and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. Knowledge, Skills, Experience * Proven experience at Senior Management level within an engineering environment, predominantly within Sheet Metal & Fabrication. * A proven track record of success in growing organisations and achieving profitable returns, where customer service is priority. * Understanding the key details of management profit and loss accounts and ensuring decisions are made with a key focus on profitability. * Strong financial acumen, excellent commercial skills, a strong and collaborative leadership style and the ability to deliver through others is imperative, as is the ability to inspire and influence external customers to create a competitive edge in the sector. * An energetic, outgoing and confident manner with natural leadership ability and a “hands-on” approach.
