Commercial Project Surveyor

Niyaa People are delighted to be working alongside a Tier 1 contractor, to source a Commercial Project Surveyor on a permanent basis in the West Midlands. You will be part of a new team managing a Repairs & Maintenance contract for one of their housing clients.

If you have experience within repairs and maintenance, working for tier 1 contractor and managing social housing clients, I want to speak with you.

Commercial Project Surveyor duties:

Lead on pre and post contract strategy, ensuring commercial processes run smoothly and deliver maximum value
Managing subcontract procurement, measurement, valuation and contractual processes
Supporting strong Health & Safety standards through regular reviews and compliance checks
Leading valuations, cashflow management and monthly reporting (CVRs, procurement & progress updates)
Working closely with project teams to optimise procurement, production, and commercial outcomes
Supporting and developing commercial team capability and performanceCommercial Project Surveyor requirements:

Knowledge of construction methods, measurement & valuation
Experience with subcontract procurement and NEC contracts (preferred)
Strong commercial and financial skills, with the ability to drive cost control and value recovery
Confidence building relationships across clients, PQS, design teams and supply chain
A proactive, collaborative and solutions‑focused approach
