Commissioning Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
Leading the pre-commissioning and commissioning phases for water treatment plants, pumping stations, and associated mechanical piping systems
Ensuring seamless integration of water cooling systems with site-wide Building Management Systems (BMS) and SCADA platforms
Conducting rigorous testing to meet specified Water Usage Effectiveness (WUE) targets and operational performance metrics
Producing comprehensive commissioning plans, test protocols, method statements, and final handover documentation
Diagnosing and rectifying technical issues, liaising with design engineers and sub-contractors
Enforcing the highest standards of Health & Safety on-site
Acting as the primary technical point of contact for the client during the commissioning and snagging phase
Job Requirements:
Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering, or a relevant trade qualification with significant industrial experience
Proven experience in commissioning, preferably within data centres or mission-critical facility sectors
Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, pumping, and water treatment processes
Experience with control systems (PLC/SCADA/BMS)
Familiarity with pressurised piping systems and cooling infrastructure
Comprehensive knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation
Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure
Willingness to travel across project sites in Ireland
