Community Engagement Officer
About the Role
As a Community Engagement Officer, you will help deliver high‑quality, resident‑focused engagement services. You'll act as a key link between the organisation, residents and local partners-ensuring people feel informed, supported and able to influence decisions that affect their homes and neighbourhoods.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a main point of contact for residents and community partners
Support resident involvement and local engagement activities
Signpost households to support services
Help deliver digital inclusion initiatives
Work with community groups and resident associations
Collect engagement data and support neighbourhood improvement programmes
Attend occasional evening/weekend meetings
What We're Looking For
Experience working with the public or community groups
Strong customer‑service and communication skills
Ability to handle challenging conversations professionally
Knowledge of community engagement, digital inclusion and basic H&S
Confident using Microsoft Office and digital systems
Able to work independently and manage a varied workload
Full driving licence, access to a car and ability to pass a DBS check
