TDA Care Solutions are recruting for a Complex Carers in Surrey About the Role We are seeking experienced and compassionate Complex Carers to support an individual with a spinal cord injury. This is a highly rewarding role requiring clinical competence, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering person-centred care. You will be working as part of a 2:1 care package, providing comprehensive support to meet both clinical and daily living needs. Key Responsibilities * Deliver 2:1 care support in line with care plans * Administer medication safely and accurately * Provide suprapubic catheter care, including: * Connecting/disconnecting night drainage * Monitoring for blockages and reporting concerns * Carry out bowel care, including: * Digital rectal checks * Administration of glycerine suppositories * Digital stimulation / manual evacuation * Recognise and manage Autonomic Dysreflexia, escalating concerns promptly * Monitor blood pressure and take appropriate action based on readings * Support with hoist transfers and safe repositioning * Conduct pressure area care and regular skin checks * Apply and remove splints as required * Assist with prescribed physiotherapy exercises * Support respiratory care, including awareness of: * Inspiratory Muscle Trainer * Cough assist techniques Requirements * Proven experience in complex care, ideally with spinal cord injury clients * Competency in all clinical skills listed above * Ability to work reliably across a 7-day rota with multiple daily calls * Strong communication and observational skills * A compassionate, patient-focused approach Essential Criteria * Must hold full Right to Work in the UK * Experience in the Care field, specifically around spinal injury * No sponsorship available – applicants requiring sponsorship will not be considered * This is not a Live-In role
