Job Description: Complex Carer (Staffordshire)

### Role Summary
We are seeking Complex Carers to join our care team in Staffordshire. The role involves delivering high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with complex care needs, including long-term nursing-style care tasks and specialist support in the community.

### Working Hours

To be discussed at interview (including availability for shift work as required)
### Key Responsibilities

Provide safe, compassionate and effective care to individuals with complex medical needs
Support with specialist clinical care tasks, including:
- Spinal injury care
- Brain injury support
- Tracheostomy care
- Bowel management
- Cough assist
- Seizure support
- Ventilation
- Oxygen therapy
- Suctioning
Maintain accurate, up-to-date care records and report changes in condition promptly
Follow care plans, risk assessments, and agreed protocols at all times
Ensure dignity, privacy, and independence are promoted in every support approach
Work effectively with families, care coordinators, and wider healthcare professionals
Adhere to safeguarding, infection prevention and control, and medication/care procedures (where applicable)
### Essential Skills & Experience

Minimum 12 months UK care experience
Demonstrable experience supporting individuals with one or more of the following complex care needs (training and competency expectations may apply depending on the individual’s needs):
- Spinal injury
- Brain injury
- Tracheostomy
- Bowel management
- Cough assist
- Seizures
- Ventilation
- Oxygen therapy
- Suctioning
### Requirements

No sponsorship required/available
Right to work in the UK
Ability to complete specialist care tasks to an agreed standard
Strong communication skills and a calm, professional approach under pressure
Reliable and able to follow support plans and safeguarding procedures
