As Compliance Lead, this is a critical position responsible for ensuring full compliance with legislation, client requirements, and industry standards. You will take ownership of compliance whilst driving best practice across the business.

You’ll work closely with leadership and act as a key point of contact for compliance, audits, and contractor processes.

Key Responsibilities

Contractor Onboarding & Compliance

Own and continuously improve the contractor onboarding process
Oversee administration of PTS workers via the Sentinel system
Ensure all contractor documentation is compliant, accurate, and properly filed
Manage contractor compliance requirements, including medical bookings
Coordinate umbrella ASL agreements and contract renewals with SMT
Oversee site inspections and contractor welfare processes
Act as escalation point for contractor-related queries
Ensure timely reporting and distribution of onboarding data

Audits, Compliance & Governance

Lead all internal and external audit requirements (ISO, RISQs, internal audits)
Maintain business accreditations and ensure ongoing compliance
Report audit findings and progress to senior leadership
Coordinate action plans and ensure timely resolution of audit points
Manage document control systems for audit purposes
Oversee first aider and fire warden training renewals
Conduct internal H&S audits, risk assessments, and follow-ups
Promote a culture of best practice and continuous improvement
Act as Sentinel Coordinator for Rail Operations
Support Cyber Essentials audit preparation and maintenance

IT & Systems Compliance

Ensure internal compliance with IT security and safety standards
Support supplier management alongside the Business Support Manager
Contribute to oversight of systems, infrastructure, and security in collaboration with SMT and external IT providers

Experience & Qualifications

Experience in recruitment processes and contractor management
Knowledge of legislation and compliance standards
Strong administrative background
Working knowledge of ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001)
