Construction Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced and driven Construction Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of refurbishment and fit-out projects across a range of sectors including commercial, education, leisure, and retail.

This role involves full lifecycle project management, from pre-construction planning through to completion and handover, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:-

Take full ownership of multiple construction projects from inception through to completion
Develop and manage project programmes, ensuring key milestones and deadlines are achieved
Lead and coordinate site teams, including Site Managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers
Manage client relationships, acting as the main point of contact throughout the project lifecycle
Monitor project performance, including cost control, risk management, and programme delivery
Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations and company procedures
Chair project meetings and provide regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders
Review and manage subcontractor packages, ensuring works are delivered in line with scope and quality expectations
Oversee snagging, commissioning, and final handover to ensure client satisfaction
Drive continuous improvement and identify opportunities to enhance project deliveryEducation, skills and experience:-

NVQ Level 6 Construction Management / Degree Qualified
Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry, ideally delivering refurbishment and fit-out projects
Experience managing projects typically ranging from £500k to £10M
Strong understanding of construction processes, contracts, and project delivery methods
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
SMSTS, CSCS (Black Card), and First Aid certification
Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage budgets effectively
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software
Must be willing to travel or lodge away
