This Consultant Psychiatrist role offers the chance to lead care within a well-established multidisciplinary team delivering rehabilitation and acute psychiatric support. In this Consultant Psychiatrist position, you will act as Responsible Clinician within a therapeutic service focused on recovery, positive behavioural support, and empowering individuals to rebuild independence. This role may also appeal to a Forensic Psychiatrist or General Adult Psychiatrist seeking a leadership position in inpatient mental health. Key Responsibilities • Act as Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act within an inpatient service. • Provide clinical leadership within multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews and treatment planning. • Contribute psychiatric expertise to assessment, formulation and therapeutic interventions. • Support service development through governance participation, training and supervision of junior medical staff. About You • Medically qualified with MRC Psych (or equivalent) and GMC registration. • CCT in General Adult Psychiatry or Forensic Psychiatry. • Experience working as a Consultant Psychiatrist within inpatient mental health services.
