Title: Continuous Improvement Manager
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum
Working hours: Monday - Friday, Day Shift
Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire

VH Talent is pleased to be partnering with our client, a leading engineering company in Hertfordshire, to recruit a Continuous Improvement Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to take the lead in enhancing site performance, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and driving operational excellence.

In this role, you will lead key improvement initiatives, deliver high-impact Lean Sigma projects, and coach teams in problem-solving methodologies such as Kaizens and A3s. You will become the go-to expert for continuous improvement tools and methods across the business.

As a key member of the Site Leadership Team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing current operations while shaping future strategy. The Continuous Improvement Manager Role:

* Lead the transformation of site operations by embedding a culture of continuous improvement and high-performing teams across all functions

* Act as the key link between the site and Product Group/Division, driving improvement initiatives and enhancing overall performance

* Support Business Continuity and Risk Management activities, ensuring strategies are effectively implemented on site

* Deliver measurable business improvements and cost savings through structured improvement projects

* Coach and develop Green Belts and problem-solving teams (Kaizens/A3s), building internal capability and sustainability

* Drive the deployment and maturity of continuous improvement practices, analysing business processes to deliver repeatable, data-driven results aligned to site objectives

You’ll Need:

* Proven track record of delivering process improvements and automation projects, ideally within high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments

* Lean Sigma Belt qualification is essential (Black Belt highly desirable)

* Previous experience delivering continuous improvement projects within manufacturing or engineering

* Strong ability to communicate and implement CI initiatives across all levels of the business, partnering with senior stakeholders

* Experience leading and influencing multiple teams

* Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects independently and collaboratively

* Proactive approach with strong decision-making capability

* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

* Experience with project management tools (MS Project advantageous)
