Contracts Commercial Manager

I’m currently working with a leading waste resource services business based in the North West that is looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Commercial Manager to join their Contracts & Operations team. This is a key role focused on managing commercial risk and ensuring high-value, complex service contracts deliver strong outcomes, value for money, and compliance across a large regional operation. Key responsibilities include: * Leading on all commercial aspects of major service contracts, identifying and managing risk to optimise performance * Driving a consistent, organisation-wide approach to commercial contract management and optimisation * Overseeing payment mechanisms, contract interpretation, and ensuring accurate, auditable processes * Managing contract insurance requirements, claims, and annual reviews * Leading on significant contract variations, negotiations, and change processes * Supporting senior leadership in developing commercial frameworks, governance, and dispute resolution strategies * Identifying and delivering financial and commercial efficiencies across contract arrangements * Building strong relationships with external stakeholders, including local authorities and industry bodies About you: * Strong background in commercial contract management within complex environments * Experience handling high-value contracts, risk management, and negotiations * Confident working with senior stakeholders and leading on strategic commercial decisions * Ideally experience within the public sector, infrastructure, or waste/utility services (though not essential) This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a strategic, high-impact role with real influence over major service delivery and long-term commercial outcomes.
