Counterbalance FLT

Counterbalance Operative - Temporary to Permanent 40 Hours per Week + Plenty of Overtime | 7:00am-3:30pm Southminster | Immediate Start Available We are looking for a reliable and safety‑conscious Materials Handling Operative to support the efficient movement of raw materials and finished goods on site. This is a hands‑on role that plays a key part in keeping daily operations running smoothly. Overall Purpose of the Role To ensure materials are safely transported, supplied, and stored to support an effective production process. Main Duties & Responsibilities Accurately completing stock, movement, and distribution records Supplying raw materials and components to production areas as required Collecting, transporting, and storing various materials including bales and other ingredients Moving goods from and to storage areas, including packaging and finished products Completing clear handovers with operators at the start and end of shifts Working day and night shifts as required Supporting occasional weekend and bank holiday work during peak periodsDuties may change over time in line with business needs, and flexibility is expected. Key Skills & Experience Experience in a production, warehouse, or similar operational environment Health & Safety knowledge or qualifications beneficial Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Good verbal and written communication A positive team-focused approach Forklift Truck driving experience (minimum 6 months) Telehandler or shunter skills (training can be provided) Basic computer skills for using scanners, printers, and simple systems Requirements Due to the site location, own transport and a valid driving licence are essential.
