Cover Supervisor Cover Supervisors needed across East London Secondary Schools! Locations: Barking and Dagenham, Hackney, Havering, Newham, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest Salary: £100 - £130 per day (dependent on experience) Are you passionate about working with young people and looking to start or progress your career in education? Teach London are building our strong pool of reliable and confident Cover Supervisors to support East London Secondary Schools on a short and long term basis. If you’re motivated, flexible and ready to step into the classroom, we want to hear from you! Cover Supervisor – The Role: * Supervising a class during the short-term absence of the class teacher * Delivering pre-prepared lessons, ensuring pupils stay on task * Supporting students across a variety of subjects and year groups (KS3 and KS4) * Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies * Supporting students to engage in their learning * Providing feedback to teaching staff after lessons Cover Supervisor – Job Requirements: * Experience working with secondary-aged students is essential – ideally within a school setting * Ideally degree-educated or working towards a degree (or equivalent) * Experience working with children or young people (schools, clubs, tutoring, childcare etc.) * A specialism in a subject (e.g. English, Maths, Science, PE) is welcomed but not required * Confident communicator with excellent classroom presence * Reliable, adaptable and able to work at short notice * An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one) * An interest in pursuing a career in teaching or education is a bonus!
