Job Description
PK Education are recruiting for confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Doncaster.
This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Cover Supervisors, graduates, aspiring teachers or individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to gain further experience within a secondary school environment.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absences, delivering pre-planned work and ensuring students remain engaged and on task. You will play an important role in maintaining continuity of learning and a positive classroom environment.
The Role:
– Supervising classes across KS3 and KS4
– Delivering pre-planned work set by the class teacher
– Managing classroom behaviour effectively
– Ensuring students remain engaged and on task
– Supporting students where appropriate
– Working across a range of subjects and year groups
– Following individual school policies and procedures
The Ideal Candidate:
– Previous experience working with young people is desirable
– Experience as a Cover Supervisor is advantageous but not essential
– Confident managing groups of secondary-aged students
– Strong communication and behaviour management skills
– Reliable, adaptable and able to work across different departments
– Hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS Check
