Cover Supervisor
Prospero Teaching are looking for enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in a variety of secondary schools across Enfield, Islington, and Southgate in North London. This flexible supply position is suitable for those with school-based experience, recent graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced cover supervisors. Long-term opportunities may become available depending on school needs. Contract Details · Location: Enfield, Southgate, Islington · Position: Cover Supervisor · Type of Work: Secondary Cover Supervision · Start Date: ASAP · Duration: Daily supply (with potential for longer-term roles) · Contract Type: Temporary · Hours: 8:30am-4:00pm (full day) · Full-time/Part-time: Flexible, depending on school needs · Minimum Rate of Pay: GBP95 per day Responsibilities · Maintaining a positive learning environment and ensuring students stay on task. · Supervising students as they complete pre-set work left by the teacher and ensuring planned lessons are followed. · Assisting students with questions or difficulties and ensuring everyone understands the tasks. · Enforcing school policies regarding student behaviour and dealing with any issues that arise. · Recording attendance and documenting any noteworthy incidents during lessons. Experience, Training and Qualifications Needed · Previous experience working with young people in a school setting. · Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable, but training can be provided). To Be Eligible for This Role Through Prospero Teaching, You Must: · Hold the Right to Work in the UK. · Hold an Enhanced Child Barred List DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one). · Be able to provide two professional, child-related references.
