Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Area: Oldham
Start Date: April 2026
Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £100 - £120 per day
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

We're working with a welcoming and well-established secondary school in Oldham that is seeking a reliable and proactive Cover Supervisor. The school has a positive behaviour policy, strong leadership, and a supportive staff team, making it an excellent environment for individuals looking to gain valuable classroom experience.

This role is ideal for aspiring teachers, graduates, or experienced education support staff who enjoy working with young people and thrive in a fast-paced school setting.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff
* Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and resources
* Maintain a focused, safe, and positive classroom environment
* Manage behaviour in line with school policies
* Support students to stay on task and engaged
* Liaise with teaching staff and report on lesson outcomesWhat We're Looking For:

Previous experience working with young people (desirable)
* Strong classroom presence and behaviour management skills
* Clear communication and confidence leading a classroom
* A calm, flexible, and professional approach
* A genuine interest in education and student developmentTo be eligible you must:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the update service OR be willing to apply for a new one
