Cover Supervisor Job title: Cover Supervisor - Mainstream Secondary Location: Salford Contract: part-time We are recruiting a Cover Supervisor to work in a busy mainstream secondary school in Salford. This role is ideal for candidates with solid classroom experience who can confidently deliver pre-planned lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils in the teacher's absence. This is not a tutoring or primary role. Essential requirements: Recent experience working with secondary-age pupils (11-16) in a UK school setting Confident managing a classroom independently and following school behaviour policies Ability to deliver pre-planned work across a range of subjects (no planning or marking required) Strong behaviour management and presence in the classroom Desirable: Experience as a Cover Supervisor, Secondary TA, Instructor, or Secondary HLTA Degree (or equivalent) or Level 3 qualification in education/childcare Key responsibilities: Supervising whole classes during teacher absence, using pre-prepared lesson plans Maintaining a calm, focused learning environment and following school behaviour procedures Taking registers, giving instructions, and ensuring work is completed Supporting pupils with questions and keeping them on task What TimePlan can offer you: Competitive pay (paid weekly) Flexible work to suit your availability Access to a variety of secondary schools in your local area Free safeguarding training and ongoing CPDHow to Apply: If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of young children, we would love to hear from you!
