Cover Supervisor - Sheffield

Job Title: Cover Supervisor / Cover Teacher Location: Sheffield Salary: £460 – £650 per week (depending on experience) Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Day-to-Day / Long-Term Start Date: Immediate GSL Education are looking for confident and reliable Cover Supervisors / Cover Teachers to work across secondary schools in Sheffield. In this role, you will ensure lessons run smoothly and students remain engaged during the absence of teaching staff. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced teaching assistants, or anyone with strong behaviour management skills who enjoys working with young people and supporting their learning. About the Role Supervise whole classes in the absence of the regular teacher Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials across a range of subjects Maintain a positive, structured, and engaging classroom environment Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies Support students with learning activities when required Provide feedback to teaching staff following lessons Requirements Experience working with young people or within an educational setting is desirable Confidence managing classroom behaviour independently Strong communication and interpersonal skills Adaptable, proactive, and professional approach Genuine interest in education and supporting student learning Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare Why Work with GSL Education?
