Senior Social Worker / Senior Practitioner – Children’s Services

Bromley, Kent | £38.99 per hour (Umbrella)

We are seeking a confident, dynamic and experienced Senior Social Worker / Senior Practitioner to join a Children’s Services team in Bromley. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled practitioner passionate about safeguarding children, managing complex cases and achieving positive outcomes for children and families.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage a varied caseload of Child in Need, Child Protection, Public Law Outline (PLO) and care proceedings cases.

* Work with children and young people up to the age of 18.

* Undertake complex safeguarding assessments and interventions.

* Manage permanence planning and promote safe, stable outcomes for children.

* Undertake direct work with children and families and build effective professional relationships.

* Work collaboratively with partner agencies and contribute to multi-agency safeguarding plans.

* Prepare reports and evidence for court proceedings and attend court when required.

* Maintain accurate case records and demonstrate sound professional judgement and decision-making.

Essential Requirements

* Recognised Social Work degree (BA/MA or equivalent) – essential.

* Current Social Work England registration.

* Minimum 2 years' experience working at Senior Practitioner level.

* Enhanced DBS clearance.

* Significant experience in Child Protection and Court Proceedings teams.

* Strong experience managing complex safeguarding and permanence cases.

* Excellent communication, analytical and relationship-building skills.

* Ability to work confidently and independently with complex cases.
