Curry & Grill is seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction. Experience in Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, or South Asian cuisine is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare and cook menu items according to Curry & Grill recipes and standards.

* Specialize in curries, grilled dishes, tandoori items, and traditional South Asian cuisine.

* Ensure food quality, presentation, and portion control are consistently maintained.

* Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients and supplies.

* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in accordance with food safety regulations.

* Supervise and support kitchen assistants and junior staff when required.

* Minimize food waste and ensure efficient use of ingredients.

* Develop new dishes and contribute ideas for menu improvements.

* Ensure all equipment is used safely and maintained properly.

* Work effectively during busy service periods and maintain a positive team environment.

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a restaurant environment.

* Knowledge of Indian and grill cuisine preferred.

* Understanding of food hygiene and health & safety regulations.

* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.

* Strong organizational and time-management skills.

* Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.

* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Desirable Qualifications

* Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above).

* Culinary training or professional cooking qualification.

* Experience with menu planning and stock control.
