DBS Holding Teaching Assistant
Contract: Full Time, Until the end of the academic year
Pay Rate: £93 per day (£14.33ph)
Start Date: As soon as possible

Whether you already hold formal teaching qualifications or are starting your career in education, we have rewarding opportunities for Teaching Assistants across primary, secondary, and SEN schools in the Rhondda Cynon Taff area.
This role is open to both qualified Teaching Assistants and enthusiastic candidates without formal qualifications who hold a current DBS on the Update Service.
About the Role
Support pupils across a range of ages and abilities, including those with Additional Learning Needs (ALN).
Assist class teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery.
Provide one-to-one and small-group support to help pupils build confidence and key learning skills.
Encourage positive behaviour and promote an inclusive learning environment.
Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to meet individual needs.
We’re looking for someone who is:
Patient, caring, and enthusiastic about supporting children’s learning.
Reliable, flexible, and able to adapt to different school environments.
Confident working with children of different ages and backgrounds.
A team player with good communication skills.
(Bonus) A Welsh speaker – this would be a great advantage but is not essential.
Requirements
DBS registered on the Update Service (mandatory)
References covering the past two years
For unqualified candidates: willingness to gain experience in a school setting and pursue relevant training
For qualified candidates: formal Teaching Assistant or equivalent qualifications (EWC registration can be supported)
Teaching Personnel can assist with:
Education Workforce Council (EWC) Registration (if needed)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
