Location: Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire
Duration: Temporary to Permanent
Pay Rate: £15.00-£16.77 per hour (DOE)
Hours: Mon to Fri - 07:30 to 16:30
We are currently recruiting for a number of Decal Fitters applying decals to vehicles in Stoke-on-Trent.
To accurately measure, prepare and apply decals to trailers and vehicle bodies to meet production specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements, while adhering to health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Apply full coverage decals to trailers, including all ancillary components.
* Measure and correctly lay out decals on various trailer/body types, including cabs, to specification.
* Carry out all aspects of the decal fitting process independently.
* Inspect and maintain equipment daily (e.g. ladders, scissor lifts, heat guns).
* Complete daily inspection and check sheets accurately.
* Ensure all work meets quality standards and is completed within required timeframes.
* Identify and rectify any rework issues during production.
* Read and interpret job specifications and technical drawings.
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the work area.
* Communicate effectively with managers and production teams regarding deadlines and workload.
* Work flexibly across different areas of the business as needed.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Essential:
* Experience in decal fitting or similar production/assembly role.
* Ability to work accurately to specifications.
* Strong attention to detail and quality.
* Ability to work independently and manage workload.
* Good communication skills.
* Understanding of health & safety requirements in a manufacturing environment.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of Type Approval legislation.
* Experience working with large vehicles or trailers.
* Previous experience training or mentoring staff.
