We’re working with a forward-thinking secondary school in Enfield that’s on the lookout for a passionate Design & Technology Teacher to join their team. Whether your strength is Product Design, Resistant Materials, or a mix of disciplines, this is a brilliant opportunity to inspire students and bring practical learning to life.
What you’ll be doing
Deliver engaging and hands-on Design & Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4
Encourage creativity, problem-solving, and independent thinking through practical projects
Support students of varying abilities, adapting lessons to ensure inclusive learning
Maintain a safe and well-organised workshop environment
Manage behaviour effectively, creating a focused and positive classroom culture
Work collaboratively with the wider department to develop schemes of work and share best practice
What we’re looking for
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching Design & Technology in a secondary school setting
Strong behaviour management and classroom presence
Confident across at least one DT specialism (e.g. Resistant Materials, Product Design, Graphics)
A proactive, enthusiastic approach with a genuine passion for practical learning
Ability to build strong relationships with students and staff
