Are you an experienced Design Manager looking for your next opportunity with an established regional main contractor, offering interesting projects and long-term career prospects?
We're recruiting for a well-established main contractor looking to appoint a Design Manager to oversee the design process across a range of new build and refurbishment projects throughout Yorkshire.
The Role;
Manage and coordinate the design process from pre-construction through to project delivery
Liaise with architects, consultants, subcontractors and project teams
Review design information, drawings and specifications
Ensure design information is issued in line with construction programmes
Identify and resolve design issues to minimise delays on site
Attend design meetings and maintain effective communication with all stakeholders
What We're Looking For;
Previous experience as a Design Manager or Design Coordinator with a main contractor
Background working on new build and refurbishment projects
Good understanding of construction methods, design processes and buildability
Confident coordinating consultants and managing design information
Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work closely with project teams
