White Label recruitment are delighted to support a key client based in the York area on exclusive basis in their hunt for a Designer/Design Engineer. Job Role: The role involves the delivery of an efficient and organised CAD design function, providing key production drawing and CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) to the manufacturing function. The role also involves developing the ERP systems alongside the design function and assisting the sales function in developing best quality sales promotional material to supplement dealer quotations. within the company’s quality management systems to ensure delivery of an auditable design function. The individual will play a key role in developing product designs, manufacturing details for product designs and the integration of designs into the sales and manufacturing function. The fundamental aim of which, is to achieve all sales volume and profit objectives through timely, effective procedures underpinned with best working practice and harmonious working relationships. Core Duties and Responsibilities: * Instrumental in the development of the design function for existing, new and bespoke products. * Using the company’s CAD system to develop existing, new and bespoke furniture designs. * Managing and developing the CAD function to improve manufacturing techniques, product design, quotation product presentations. * Contact with customer to ensure accuracy of design interpretation * Be available to help with any customer enquiry, to an agreed timescale. * Handling design requirements within the defined scope of the role. * Responding and processing design information request from The Factory, dealers and the Sales Administration Team. * Assisting Sales Administration with order processing in relation to design requirements * Maintain regular updates of Industry Best Practise and Quality Management techniques. The Person: * Min 2 yeas experience working as a Design Engineer or similar role * Experience in using SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD packages such as Autodesk Inventor, Solidedge, etc. * Proven ability in developing excellent product design * Effective capture and use of past, present and product design data for development of sales/design function Salary & Benefits: * £25,000 - £35,000 * 23 Days Holidays + BH * Working Hours - 8:00 am – 5:00pm Monday – Thursday and 8 am – 1:00 pm Friday * Bonus
