Position: Die Inserts Toolmaker

Hours: 37 hours per week

Position Summary:

The Die inserts Toolmaker is responsible for the build, assembly, repair, and maintenance of jigs, fixtures, and casting tools, working from CAD models and 2D drawings. The role involves supporting assembly cell builds, including disassembly, preparation, fitting, and improvement of casting dies and tooling components.

Key Responsibilities:

Key duties include assembling mechanical, pneumatic, and fabricated components, carrying out tooling repairs, and ensuring all work meets required quality standards, tolerances, and project timelines. The role also supports die spotting activities, continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures adherence to health and safety regulations.

Essential Experience:

Candidates should have a recognised toolmaking qualification, experience in an automotive tooling environment, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and CAD data. Strong mechanical assembly skills, knowledge of GD&T, and experience with welding and non-CNC machining are essential
