Diesel Fitter
Role Overview
Service, repair, and maintain a range of diesel-powered pumps and industrial equipment
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults efficiently in a workshop and occasionally on-site
Carry out preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and reliability of equipment
Work closely with engineering and operations teams to minimise equipment downtime
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of safety and quality
Support continuous improvement of workshop processes and maintenance practicesRequirements
Strong proven experience as a Diesel Fitter or Diesel Mechanic
Solid understanding of diesel engines and mechanical systems (essential)
Ability to diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs independently
Hydraulic experience is beneficial but not essential
Electrical experience is an advantage but not required
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and as part of a small technical team
Full UK driving licence preferredSalary & Benefits
£35,000 - £40,000 annual salary (depending on experience)
40-45 hour working week
