Discrete Event Simulation Engineer
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement Discrete Event Simulation models using Witness to optimize automotive production processes.
*
Conduct bottleneck analysis and recommend strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
*
Determine buffer size requirements and assess the impact of different model derivative mixes on production flow.
*
Perform volume throughput increase studies and evaluate system "what-if" scenarios.
*
Ensure process adherence to vehicle derivative sequencing and build-to-sequence rules.
*
Optimize material flows and logistics, including:
*
Onsite material movements (lineside deliveries, marketplace transfers).
*
Material movements between sites to improve supply chain efficiency.
*
AGV quantity estimation and identifying operational hotspots.
*
Racking studies to maximize space and efficiency.
*
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex data insights into clear recommendations.
Profile
*
Proven experience in automotive production or logistics environments.
*
Hands-on expertise with Witness Discrete Event Simulation toolset.
*
Strong Excel VBA skills for data analysis and model enhancement.
*
Experience in modelling assembly lines to improve efficiency.
*
Strong analytical skills with a focus on bottleneck analysis and process optimization.
*
Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
