Apply NowMMP Consultancy is seeking an experienced Disrepair Surveyor on behalf of a Local Authority based in Bristol. This is a 6-month contract subject to extension with a day rate of £298pd inside of IR35. Candidates will be expected in 2 days in the office and 3 days on site. After successful induction, candidates can expect to work from home 2 days per week from home.
The successful candidate will be responsible for disrepair cases in social housing, managing inspections, specifying works, overseeing contractors, and acting as professional witness on legal claims.
Responsibilities:
Inspecting occupied council housing for disrepair defects
Specifying and project‑managing remedial works
Managing contractors and trade teams to deadline
Producing technical reports & witness statements for legal
Advising on compensation in line with Housing Ombudsman guidance
Keeping tenants informed and managing expectationsRequirements:
Housing / building surveyor experience within social housing
Hands‑on disrepair or housing condition claim experience
Confident dealing with legal teams, tenants & contractors
Strong reporting and technical diagnosis skills
