Supportive and collaborative working environmentRepairs Surveyor key responsibilities include:
Carrying out pre- and post-inspections of responsive repairs across the housing stock
Diagnosing building defects and preparing detailed specifications of work
Managing contractor performance to ensure works are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
Handling occasional disrepair cases, carrying out inspections, and supporting the resolution process
Ensuring all works comply with health and safety legislation, housing standards, and organisational policies
Liaising with residents, contractors, and internal teams to provide excellent customer service
Monitoring repair quality and identifying opportunities for service improvement
Maintaining accurate records and producing reports where requiredThe successful Repairs Surveyor will have:
Previous experience working within a social housing environment
Experience managing responsive repairs and carrying out property inspections
Exposure to occasional disrepair cases
Strong knowledge of building construction, repairs, and maintenance
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
A relevant surveying or construction qualification is desirable
