Drainage Site Engineer – A47 (Highways Project) Location: A47, East of England Contract: Freelance Rate/Salary: £350 CIS  Start Date: Immediate We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our team on a major highways project on the A47. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a high-profile infrastructure scheme with a well-established civil engineering contractor. Key Responsibilities: Setting out for highways works including earthworks, kerbing, drainage, and road construction Managing and interpreting technical drawings, plans, and specifications Overseeing drainage works with a strong focus on compliance and quality control Working closely with site management, subcontractors, and suppliers Ensuring health, safety, and environmental standards are met on site Maintaining accurate site records and reporting progress Requirements: - Proven experience as a Site Engineer on civil engineering projects - Extensive experience in drainage works (e.g. deep and shallow drainage, manholes, gullies) - Setting out experience using GPS, Total Station, and AutoCAD - CSCS card (mandatory) - SSSTS or SMSTS (preferred) - Full UK driving licence
