A highly respected secondary school near Skipton is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Design Technology Teacher to join its vibrant team. Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and practical DT lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering creativity, problem‑solving and technical understanding.
* Plan, assess, and monitor student progress, ensuring all learners are supported and challenged in line with school and curriculum expectations.
* Contribute to the wider DT department, including maintaining workshop safety standards and supporting extracurricular or project‑based activities.
Required Skills & Experience
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching Design Technology.
* Strong subject knowledge in one or more DT specialisms (e.g., Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering, Graphics, Textiles or Food Technology).
* Ability to create an inspiring, inclusive learning environment with excellent behaviour management and effective communication skills.
