I am currently representing Westminster Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3- 6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience
We are looking for a EHC Assessment & Review Co-ordinator this role will be: W8 7NX
The right candidate will:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled SEN EHC Needs Assessment and Review Coordinator to join our Education, Health and Care (EHC) Service. This is a vital role supporting children and young people aged 0–25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
1. Managing a complex caseload of children and young people with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
2. Drafting high-quality EHC Plans, ensuring they are person-centred, outcome-focused and fully evidence-based.
3. Processing annual reviews within statutory timeframes.
4. Coordinating multi-agency input across education, health and social care, ensuring strong relationships with families, schools, SENCOs and professionals.
5. Overseeing a large caseload of Looked After Children and young people transitioning into adult social care provision.
6. Managing high-cost out-of-borough placements and arrangements for children educated otherwise than at school.
7. Ensuring all EHC assessments are completed within the statutory 20-week timeframe.
8. Supporting Tribunal case preparation, responses to complaints, and contributions to service improvement.
We require the following:
1. Strong knowledge of the Children & Families Act 2014, SEND Code of Practice, and associated legislation.
2. Experience in casework management within SEND, education, or a related local authority service.
