EHS Lead
At Dornan we are currently recruiting for a EHS Lead for our Electrical Package on our Pharma project based in the Midlands. You will be the primary person responsible for ensuring that the project is set up and operates in compliance with JEG EHS standards, Client EHS requirements and legal EHS obligations. Your day to day will include: Conduct regular formal site audits and carry out inspections as directed in the Safety Management system. Communicate the findings of the audits to site management and operations director and assist in the closure of issues in line with Dornan policy. Assessing the EHS function to identify areas for improvement and develop new initiatives within Ireland whilst managing and maintaining current initiatives. Investigating and analysing incidents and identifying root causes. To pay a start-up visit to each new project, ensuring safety systems are established on site. To provide training and information to the workforce using appropriate training aids and media, communicating and promoting initiatives for accident prevention and greater EHS awareness. Thorough knowledge of European Environmental Health & Safety Legislation. Ability to manage, mentor and promote the professional development of a team of EHS professionals ranging from senior to junior level. Ability to support the business by engaging with project and operations directors to improve the Environmental Health & Safety performance of the company. Collating, advising and supporting the pre-qualification and tendering processes. Represent the company impeccably with clients, subcontractors and third parties. What we are looking for: Minimum 5 years' iEHS in construction/ engineering/ petrochemical and/or within a multinational manufacturing or Pharma/Advanced Tech environment. A thorough understanding of ISO 45001 and 14001 is essential. Relevant Health & Safety Qualification (Nebosh/Iosh preferable). Fully authorised to work within Ireland. Experience in Microsoft packages, knowledge of EHS platforms and all necessary documentation: RAMS, Audits, Incidents etc. Experience in managing an EHS team of at least 5+ advisors in a complex project environment
