Electrical Construction Manager - Major Life Sciences Project Cambridge | Tier One Contractor | Landmark New Build Laboratory We are working in partnership with a leading Tier One contractor to appoint an Electrical Construction Manager on a flagship new build life sciences development in Cambridge. This is a high-profile scheme within the UK’s rapidly expanding science and technology sector, delivering a state-of-the-art laboratory facility with complex MEP requirements and a strong focus on quality, safety and technical excellence. The Opportunity Joining an established and highly regarded project team, you will take responsibility for the on-site delivery of the electrical package, ensuring works are executed safely, to programme and in line with the highest technical standards. You will play a key role in coordinating subcontractors, driving progress and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders across this technically demanding environment. Key Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day delivery of electrical works on site Coordinate and oversee subcontractor performance and programme Ensure all works are delivered in line with health & safety and quality standards Work closely with the Project Manager, Technical Services team and wider MEP function Support commissioning, testing and handover processes Maintain clear communication with client and consultant teams Candidate Profile Proven experience as an Electrical Construction Manager within a Tier One or leading M&E contractor environment Strong track record delivering major new build projects, ideally within life sciences, commercial or technically complex sectors Excellent understanding of electrical building services and site delivery processes Strong leadership, coordination and stakeholder management skills Comfortable operating in a client-facing role within a high-performing project team Why Join Opportunity to work on a landmark life sciences scheme in Cambridge Join a business with a strong pipeline of technically complex projects Collaborative, high-performing team environment Clear pathway for career progression within a Tier One contractor Competitive salary and package
