Location: Manchester (Hybrid / Site Travel Required)
Rate:£40 per hour

The Role
We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a leading engineering team delivering large-scale, mission critical projects. This is a long-term contract opportunity offering stability and the chance to work on high-profile developments.
You will be involved across the full project lifecycle, supporting both design and construction phases in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design of electrical systems for large mission critical projects, including LV Distribution, UPS systems and generator systems
Production of electrical schematics and layout drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit
Carry out electrical design calculations using Amtech (or similar)
Support lighting design using Dialux (desirable)
Prepare technical specifications and engineering reports
Attend design meetings and coordinate with internal and external teams
Support construction activities including site inspections and commissioning
Liaise with subcontractors and procurement teams
Review technical aspects of purchase orders
Provide technical support throughout installation and project delivery
Requirements
HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering
Experience in electrical design within building services (experience on mission critical projects advantageous but not essential)
Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit preferred
Amtech experience beneficial
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to manage workload and meet project deadlines
Based within commutable distance of Manchester with full UK working rights
