Electrical Design Engineer (Graduate / Junior) Location: Liverpool Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 Type: Permanent An established and growing building services consultancy in Liverpool is looking to bring in a Graduate / Junior Electrical Design Engineer as part of a planned expansion of its M&E design team. The consultancy delivers mechanical, electrical and public health design across a variety of sectors including commercial, residential, education and industrial projects. With a strong pipeline of work and a collaborative design environment, this role offers an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early-career engineer to develop within building services design. The role Working alongside experienced engineers, you will support the design and coordination of electrical building services systems across multiple projects. Typical responsibilities include: * Assisting with electrical building services design including lighting, power distribution, emergency lighting and fire alarm systems * Supporting project delivery across all RIBA design stages * Producing design calculations and technical documentation * Working with Revit and AutoCAD to produce coordinated drawings * Collaborating with mechanical and public health engineers to deliver coordinated design solutions What they’re looking for * Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering * Interest in building services consultancy work * Exposure to software such as Amtech, Dialux, Revit or AutoCAD is beneficial * Strong communication and teamwork skills What’s on offer * £28,000 – £35,000 salary * Support towards chartership (IEng / CEng) * Mentoring from experienced engineers * Exposure to a wide range of projects
