Static Electrical Engineer

£40,000 - £42,000 + £120 Standby + Overtime + Training
Monday - Friday | Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Static Electrical Engineer to join Cambridge Maintenance Services at a prestigious corporate office building in St Peter's Square, Manchester.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking for a permanent, site-based role with an excellent work-life balance, genuine career progression and long-term stability. The role has become available due to an internal promotion, with the current engineer progressing into a mobile position within the business.

As the main Electrical Engineer on site, you'll be responsible for delivering planned and reactive maintenance while working closely with the client-side Facilities Management team, Building Manager and Regional Supervisor.

The Role

* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive electrical maintenance

* Electrical fault finding, repairs and general maintenance

* Emergency lighting inspections and testing

* Alarm testing and compliance checks

* Complete minor plumbing and general fabric maintenance

* Carry out occasional minor installation and small works

* Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure statutory compliance

* Deliver excellent customer service within a professional, client-facing environment

Plant & Equipment

* LV electrical systems

* Lighting and emergency lighting

* Distribution boards and power systems

* General building services plant

* Commercial office electrical systems

Requirements

* NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)

* AM2 Qualification

* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

* Previous Facilities Management or Commercial Building Maintenance experience

* Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance background

* Comfortable carrying out basic plumbing and fabric repairs

* Excellent communication and customer-facing skills

Package

* £40,000 - £42,000 DOE

* £120 standby payment (1 in 6 call-out rota)

* Overtime paid at time and a half

* 23 days holiday + bank holidays

* 5% pension scheme
