Electrical Installation Lecturer

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver high-quality teaching and training across Electrical Installation programmes.

* Plan and prepare engaging lessons, learning materials and schemes of work.

* Teach both practical and theoretical aspects of Electrical Installation.

* Assess and mark learner work in line with awarding body and college requirements.

* Monitor learner progress and provide regular feedback and support.

* Carry out tutorials, reviews and assessments to ensure learners remain on track.

* Maintain accurate learner records and contribute to progress monitoring.

* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

* Support learners to develop the practical skills, knowledge and behaviours required for employment and further study.

* Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and improve the Electrical Installation curriculum.

* Maintain high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.

Requirements

* Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or a related electrical discipline.

* Strong practical/industry experience within the electrical sector.

* Experience of delivering training, teaching or supporting learners is desirable.

* Good understanding of current Electrical Installation practices and industry standards.

* Ability to engage and motivate learners from a range of backgrounds.

* Strong communication, organisation and classroom management skills.

* A recognised teaching qualification is desirable, although relevant industry experience may also be considered
