Electrical Maintenance Engineer
* Maintenance Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical)
Working Hours
* Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
* Work within the engineering maintenance team to provide full engineering support for the building infrastructure.
* Maintain a thorough understanding of Building Services systems and contingency procedures.
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and building codes of practice.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Engineering & Operations
Issue permits in line with the Safe System of Work.
Complete PPM tasks and reactive maintenance.
Identify required materials and complete internal requisition forms promptly.
Maintain thorough shift handovers, including updates on:
Critical plant
Plant isolations
Outstanding tasks
Issues arising
Housekeeping
Ensure shift logs and all related documentation are completed accurately and on time.
Conduct statutory inspections and record annual distribution board (DB) inspections.
Manage and monitor third‑party contractors, ensuring compliance and work quality.
Work on AC/DC motors (single and three‑phase).
Maintain UPS systems, batteries, static switches, and controls.
Maintain emergency lighting systems.
Work on low‑voltage switch panels and breakers.
Support lighting control systems.
Adhere to Health & Safety policies and legislation.
Ensure staff understand fire safety procedures.
Follow ISO processes to ensure departmental compliance.
Complete monthly assigned training modules.
Contribute to service improvements and operational efficiency initiatives.
Monitor KPI performance and escalate concerns as needed.
Review KPI data and recommend improvements.
Carry out additional reasonable duties as required.

Experience

Experience using Building Management Systems (BMS)
Experience supervising staff and managing contractors

Qualifications

GCSEs or equivalent
Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation
Strong administrative and organisational skills
