MTrec are proudly representing our prestigious manufacturing client, based in Newcastle, who are looking to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. Shift Pattern:

* Continentals

* 12x hour shifts (Days/Nights)

The Job You’ll Do.

* Diagnose and resolve electrical faults using wiring diagrams and schematics.

* Troubleshoot PLC systems, specifically Siemens platforms.

* Complete scheduled preventive maintenance tasks (PPM).

* Install and commission new machinery and equipment.

* Identify, overhaul, and repair faults within mechanical systems.

* Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

* Supporting with the installation of new machinery and cabling, as well as updating older models

About You;

* Minimum of a time served apprenticeship in maintenance engineering to NVQ Level 3 (Electrical bias preferable)

* A HNC or above in a relevant discipline (desirable)

* PLC fault finding experience (Siemens)

* Experience with electrical cable installations and maintenance

* Mechanical aptitude and experience is also desirable

* Computer literate – Microsoft Office.

* Possession of an IPAF licence, MEWP (desirable)

* FLT licence (desirable)

* Able to work both independently and as part of a small team
