Apply NowWe are currently looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join an established and growing contractor, working across a range of commercial electrical and M&E projects.This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and experienced Electrical Project Manager looking for a long-term career move, with the flexibility of either a permanent appointment or an initial temporary contract with the option to move into a permanent position.The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing electrical projects from initial planning and mobilisation through to installation, commissioning and final handover.
We are keen to speak with Project Managers who have a strong background in commercial electrical installations, refurbishment works and fit-out projects, and who are confident managing projects, site teams, subcontractors and client relationships.
Candidates currently working in permanent positions but considering a move are also encouraged to get in touch for a confidential discussion.
Key Responsibilities
*
Managing electrical projects from inception through to completion and handover.
*
Taking overall responsibility for project delivery, ensuring works are completed safely, on time and within budget.
*
Planning and coordinating labour, materials, plant and subcontractor requirements.
*
Managing Electrical Site Managers, Supervisors and installation teams.
*
Monitoring project programmes, progress and critical milestones.
*
Managing project budgets, costs, variations and financial reporting.
*
Liaising with clients, main contractors, consultants and other project stakeholders.
*
Attending site meetings and providing regular project updates.
*
Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
*
Ensuring all electrical installations meet current regulations and project specifications.
*
Managing procurement and coordinating material deliveries.
*
Overseeing quality control, inspections, testing and commissioning.
*
Identifying and managing project risks, resolving issues and maintaining programme delivery.
*
Coordinating snagging, practical completion and final project handover.
Essential Requirements
*
Previous experience working as an Electrical Project Manager.
*
Strong background in commercial electrical installations.
*
Experience managing electrical projects from start to finish.
*
Proven ability to manage budgets, programmes and project teams.
*
Experience working alongside main contractors and other M&E disciplines.
*
Strong understanding of electrical installation standards and regulations.
*
Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
*
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects to agreed deadlines.
Qualifications & Certifications
*
Relevant electrical industry qualifications.
*
SMSTS preferred.
*
SSSTS considered where supported by suitable project management experience.
*
Relevant electrical technical qualifications.
*
ECS/JIB card advantageous.
*
